Today was the last day of school in Ireland. The students presented the teachers with some chocolates as a gesture of thanks for all the work they did. Our students enjoyed their classes and the teachers. During the second hour, each student received a certificate of participation, showing which level they were in. After classes, the staff prepared party foods for all the students. Then we took pictures. The last picture is the Capitanio group with the Director of the Emerald Cultural Institute, Mr. Mauro Biondi. We had a great time in Ireland. We will miss all our new friends.
Our afternoon activity today was bowling. We walked down to the Leisureplex, which is just across the street from Stillorgan Shopping Center. It is a game center. Students could bowl for an hour. After bowling, we walked back up to the school. Today was sunny and warm. Tomorrow is our last day in Ireland.
This morning I saw a red fox behind the convent. There is a family of foxes, but I only saw one this morning. After school today the girls had in-school activities. Some of the girls took advantage of the free afternoon to do their homework from Japan. The other foreign students think the Japanese students study too much! For a break, some students played badminton against the staff members, David and Stefano. The staff members won. Later they had a picture with our girls, and another with Elizabeth, the Emerald Cultural Institute Staff member who is head of the activities here at St. Raphaels’s. They have been very kind to us.
