Today is Sunday and a free day for students. The photos today are of the stained glass windows in the Chapel for the elderly, a care home called “Tapeniner”.

Today students had a day off to spend with their host families. This morning we had rain, but this evening it was pleasant.
March 23, 2012
Today we had rain on and off, and it was a cool 18 C. I visited Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College (OLSH) and met the Principal, Ms. Joy Bedford. The students had classes with their buddies. During 7th period they had drama class, during which they divided into four groups. Each group had a fairy tale to act out: The 3 Little Pigs; Goldilocks and the 3 Bears; Little Red Riding Hood; and Cinderella. They all had a fun time.

Today I visited Mary MacKillop College. They now have a new music center which is very nice. Students have classes with their buddies. This afternoon some of the MMC students had a little concert for our students.Then Capitanio students had music class and learned the song, “Breakaway”. After this they visited the convent grounds and the chapel, which Mary MacKillop had built for the Sisters back in the late 1800s.

Last night we had a good rain, so today was cool: 20 C. The students at OLSH had a day off today, so the Capitanio OLSH group came to St. Aloysius for the day. They had classes with some of the year 9 students. They enjoyed their day. I wasn’t able to go into the classrooms for photos today.
