This afternoon the girls had the Chat Zone. After this they had free time for sports,
games, or just relaxing. ?In the evening we went to Leisureplex (a game center) for
Quazar, which is a laser gun game. The red team won, but the blue team came in
close. ?They all had a fun time. As we were walking home we could see a beautiful
sunset.

Today students were a little tired from the weekend trip. This afternoon we went to
Dublinia and Christchurch. At Dublinia we saw how the people lived during the
Viking and Medieval times in Ireland.
The weather was fine until we were to go back to catch the LUAS. The rain came hard,
so we waited about 2 minutes under cover. When the rain lightened up we started
home.?

On Saturday we went to Clonmacnoise, one of the oldest monasteries in Ireland. It is located along the River Shannon. After this we went to Galway, where the students bought the Claddaugh rings. We had good weather until about 5:30, that’s when the rain poured down. After going to Church and then having dinner, we went to Bearna, where we stayed in B & Bs for the night.
On Sunday morning we all had an Irish Breakfast. Then we went on the ferry to Inishmore Island. Here most of the students rode bicycles up to the village. Then from there they walked up to Dun Anoghasa, the sight of the ruins of an old fort. From this area the view was fantastic. We had beautiful weather on the Island and the sea was calm. As we were returning in the bus to Dublin there was heavy rain, but as the sun tried to come out, we saw a rainbow. We had a good weekend.

This afternoon we had the Viking Splash. This is a tour of Dublin with explanations
about how the Viking influence still can be seen in Dublin. We had some adventures.
First, the special amphibius truck wouldn’t start, because the battery had died, so we
had to get into another truck.
Then, just twenty minutes after we began our journey, ?it started raining very hard.
All were given special rain ponchos, but the girls sitting in the back seats really got
soaked. ?Towards the end of the journey it stopped raining.
We enjoyed entering the Liffey River and seeing the sights. On our way
home, the LUAS was suddenly without power because a bolt of lightening struck
some of the wires somewhere along the line. We had to wait for almost 30 minutes
before the problem could be fixed. It was a very ‘adventurous’ day.?
