Today started off sunny, but around 10am we had an unexpected shower. After which we had sunshine again. At SAC I took pictures of the girls, one of 4 computer rooms, the teachers’ lounge, and teachers’ study area. It’s a very nice school.

Today is Palm Sunday, also known as Passion Sunday. With this day we begin Holy Week, which will lead us into Easter. Many people are in Church this day. The people receive palm branches or olive branches. They will take them home and place them near a cross. These branches will be burnt and used for Ash Wednesday next year.

Saturday is, as usual here, a day off from school. Our students are with their host families or doing last minute shopping.

Today Capitanio students at Mary MacKillop College (MMC) had ESL classes in the morning. After recess they went to the Adelaide City Zoo with their buddies. It was a warm 32 C, but they enjoyed seeing the animals.

Today, the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (OLSH), students had an all day Swimming Carnival at the Payneham Swiming Centre. Year 8 to 12 were divided by their class colors: red, yellow, green, and blue. Some students had their faces decorated. Our students were shy and didn’t take part in the various contests, but they all had a good time. Some got their feet wet in the shallow pool. One girl dressed like Mickey Mouse so our girls wanted a picture with her.
