This afternoon the Capitanio students had in-school activities. They were still tired

after the weekend trip, so some did sports and others watched DVDs. They watched

Dr. Doolittle (1 and 2). ?We have no evening activities, so they can rest at home.

Today all the students began the morning in their B & Bs with a traditional Irish

breakfast. Then we boarded the Ferry and went to Inis Mor, which is the largest of the

Aran Islands. Here, some of the students hired a bike for the journey to the base of

Dun Aeongus. The scenery was splendid! On the way home everyone slept. As we

neared Dublin we were able to see a rainbow!?

Today we began our 2 day trip. We left Stillorgan on a small bus just for us and 2 other

students and the ECI guides. When we arrived to Clonmacnoise we had a guided tour

of the monastic site. Then we had lunch. During lunch it started to rain so we finished

lunch on the bus. After this we went to Galway. Students went shopping and then we

had curry & rice for dinner in the GBC restaurant. After this we walked to St. Joseph’s

Church for Mass. After Mass we went to Barna where we met the families who would

take us to their B & B homes for the night.?

This afternoon we went on the Viking Splash. We got a tour of Dublin and an explanation

about how the Vikings influenced present day Dublin. We were told to ‘roar’ to the

people who were walking on the sidewalks or at other tour buses. Students wore

Viking helmets.

In the evening, we went to Dun Laoghaire and walked along the pier to the light

tower. It was very windy, but some of the students wanted to buy an ice cream.

Others bought hot chocolate.
