Today, after lunch students had special conversation classes. After classes they had Irish Dance practice. Their teacher, Ms. Faye Marshall, had been in China in February to perform there. She also said that 2 years ago, she was one of the dancers ?in the Riverdance production, which is on every summer in Dublin. The students enjoyed themselves. There were a few minutes remaining, so Faye showed us some of the fancier dance moves. Sh was so graceful. After this, some of the students played games. ?

Today was quite a warm day with temperatures around 27 degrees, but there was a nice breeze. This morning, behind the convent there were 3 foxes playing on the grass. ?After lunch the students had special conversation classes (just for our Japanese students). After their class we walked down to Stillorgan Shopping Center. Here the students saw where the Post Office, the bank, and other stores were located. This evening there is no activity, so students can just relax. The students are all fine. Some are finding communication with the host family difficult, but they will learn day by day. ?

This morning the students took the tram (LUAS) to Stillorgan and then walked up to St. Raphaela’s School. ?They had a written test and, then, during the test they were called out for their interview test. They did well on the tests. Their levels are from Pre-Intermediate to Upper-Intermediate. After the test they had a break and then were told about the school rules. After this the teachers took the students to their new classes. We all had lunch together in one of the classrooms. At 1;30 we went into the Dublin City Center for some orientation and a bit of free time to shop. This evening at 8pm, the students were entertained by a magician. He was very good and also funny. Some of our students also participated in the show. ?

We finally arrived in Dublin. The weather here was 25 degrees and it was cloudy. We arrived at St. Raphaela’s at around 4pm. The host families were coming for their students at 4;30. ?I wasn’t able to get pictures of the first three girls and their host families, since I was busy giving students their LUAS tickets. We are all very tired, but will sleep well this evening. Tomorrow morning, students have level testing and orientation. ?
